Thinking of getting a Cobra replica, probably a "big and tall" Backdraft Racing. Is there anyone in the club who's 6'4 who might have one, or an alternative (I think that Ultimate Classic Cars in TX makes "bigger ones" as does Unique Motor Cars in Gadsen, AL.). Would also appreciate knowing if registering one in VA is straightforward, or does it entail additional effort. Thx, Future Member Greg

ERA Replica also makes an extended version. Va registration is not to hard just some extra work

Mike, thx, and how do I get in touch with "Hector?" ERA owner, thx for the ERA update: will expand my search. Too bad I didn't visit them when I was working in CT a couple of years ago... Saw the VA registration link in another discussion thread here, Looks like it can be done, just with some extra work. Appreciate everybody's help.

One more thing: is there someone I can contact surrounding the potential for taking the replica on a track? I know that SAAC has track time at their events, are there other more frequent events in/around VA?

Summit point is the closest track. As long as you can pass tech and have a Snell helmet, you should be good. If you need an instructor, you'll need double roll bars and harnesses.

Also, see:

Gentlemen, can't thank you enough. Will visit the Backdraft Racing facility in Boynton Beach, FL next week to see whether or not I can even fit in one and look through the windshield (as opposed to over it). Appreciate the info.

For info only. Ultimate used to be Lone Star Classics. Most of added wheelbase is in cockpit and they have a dropped floor both on the seat side and in the foot box. Three in club.
