Body work and registration

Good evening everyone. I am purchasing a mk4 kit this weekend, and I have some questions. Has anyone registered their car in Virginia, if so, what did you register it as? Also, does anyone know any good body shops in the hampton roads area that are familiar with factory five body work. I want it to look good, so I don't want to take it to an inexperienced shop. Thanks in advance for all the help.

There's a thread on the forum describing the process.

If nobody chimes in with a recommended body shop, you may want to ask some Corvette guys for their opinions (go to a cars and coffee or car show in the area). You should also have plenty of access to boat guys around Hampton Roads. After all, fiberglass is fiberglass. ;)

TV show Fantom Works featured a FFR restored/rebuilt a few years ago. Car was formerly owned by one of our members. If you scroll thru some of his photos, you'll see a Cobra in the backgound.
